Manners II (Advanced) Dog Obedience Training

We really get down to business in this class! This is great fun for all of our Manners I “graduates”! We will cover more advanced topics of dog obedience, encouraging both dog and owner to continue the journey of disciplined learning. Here is a sample of key commands and concepts covered in our Manners II class:

  • The Heel Command -- Right turn, left turn, about turn, and walking through a crowd (loose leash)
  • Sit Stay with Distractions -- Dogs nearby? No problem after learning this!
  • Supervised Down Stay while you are out of sight (three minutes).
  • Down Stay with distractions (toys or children nearby).
  • Stand Stay for physical evaluation
  • Recall -- in-sight and out-of-sight
  • Politely greet guests and other canines!

This is a six week class, with one-hour sessions one day a week for the duration. Class sizes are limited to four to eight dogs, and the fee is $115 for each six week class.

All classes are hosted by Tender Touch Veterinary Hospital, or Jennz Petz Grooming. Updated vaccination records are required.
